Almost 30% of child restraint systems suspend security

The second SRI safety report made this year, in which the European Automobile Clubs (including RACE) participate, has not yielded conclusions that are too encouraging for users: almost 30% of child restraint systems suspend security.

They have analyzed 15 models of car seats that are in the market divided according to their category and weight. Specifically, 26.6% of them received a "very unsatisfactory" grade, which obviously leaves us with nothing to parents.

The tests that were carried out to assess their quality and to assign them a global note address four parameters: safety through frontal and lateral shocks, ease of use and ergonomics, hazardous substances, and cleaning and tailoring.

Of the fifteen chairs evaluated, only one receives the maximum assessment of "Very satisfactory": Cybex Juno 2-Fix (for the category of Group I), while four of them receive the lowest "Very unsatisfactory": Nania Baby Ride, Römer Max-Fix, Axkid Kidzofix and Römer Xtensafix.

In the report you can find the full assessment of the 15 models analyzed. It is useful to keep this in mind if you are about to buy a car seat.
