When serving, we can choose between a more potito finish, if we work with the blender or if they are a little older, leave it in a simple crushing but leaving some stumbles, so that they get used to the textures of "older." You will see how easy it is to make this type of homemade preparations.

Ingredients for 2 portions

  • 150 g pumpkin, 1 carrot, 1/2 glass of homemade chicken broth, 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt

How to make a pumpkin and carrot puree for babies

The first thing we are going to do is peel the carrot and cut it into three or four pieces. To pumpkin let's chop it more because it is harder and we want it to be done in the microwave so as not to stain a pot.

Once chopped everything, we put it in a silicone case, ideal for microwave cooking and that allows food to be made in its own juices. Add the olive oil and salt, close the case and microwave it for 3 minutes at full power.

We open the case, - taken care of with the steam - and we turn around the carrot and pumpkin pieces and we return to the microwave for another two minutes. We pass the pumpkin and carrot to a bowl, we we crush with a fork and we are adding chicken broth until we reach the texture that suits us for the age of the baby and we only need to put the bib and see how much he likes it.

Remember that you can shred the contents of the bowl with the blender if you want it very fine like a cream, in case your child is smaller. With these quantities gives for two portions, so you can store what is in a tupper or a bottle and leave it in the fridge for tomorrow or the day after.
