Sesame Street application to help children stay calm in frustration

“Breathe, Think, Do, with Sesame” It is an application for mobile devices that is oriented to keep calm in everyday situations of frustration, which are quite frequent in children with problems controlling impulses. The truth is that it is destined to very young children (two to five), but - everything must be said - is based on a classic such as controlled breathing that not even many adults know how to apply.

The content is very basic and simple, because the protagonist monster guides children through five activities that have caused frustration (out of sadness, helplessness ...). And kids should help you breathe three times, think of three solutions to each problem, and choose one of them. The strategies problem solving in early childhood, conflict, when they are biggerThey are very useful for children to apply. And in the case of this application, although what is working is very obvious, let us keep in mind that many times there is no family time to develop this type of solutions, and in this sense it is in which I see the utility.

However, to deepen other strategies that would allow to cultivate children's minds, especially after the age of six, I recommend reading "The brain of the child ..." by D. Siegel and T. Payne, edited by ALBA. This is a book that I consider essential to ensure the mental health of our children.

But let's continue with "Breathe ...": The game is bilingual (English / Spanish), and has been conceptualized from scientific research based on a Sesame Street's Little Children program. For an optimal download, a strong Wi-Fi connection is recommended, and you will find it available for free for Android and Apple devices. Includes recommendations for parents.
