The MARQ (Alicante), offers recreational and educational proposals for children during the summer holidays

The offer of summer activities aimed at children is very varied in all Spanish cities, and families are looking for options, with the aim of having help for someone to take care of children while parents work, or for their children to learn differently, they have where to choose.

I bring you an initiative of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, because The discovery of History is usually very interesting for children over eight years old; and also moves away from an offer that is sometimes monotonous: sports, crafts, water games, etc. The calendar of activities contemplates the realization of weekly courses that will be held from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm at the Cultural Center of the Museum. The activities will take place between July 1 and August 23, and you can find more information about them, as well as register, on the Llumiq Club website.

Through these recreational and educational proposals, the MARQ aims to spread the archeological heritage of the province, as well as arouse the curiosity of the little ones to discover the history of their ancestors

The main objective is that participants not only learn History and Archeology, but also have fun and enjoy themselves, in a different way, during their school holidays. Always under the prism of offer culture, disseminate and project the MARQ among its youngest audience, the proposals are playful, dynamic and enjoyable.

Values such as respect and valuation of Heritage, teamwork, closer ties of friendship, solidarity and equity are also present when designing thematic games, workshops, storytelling and other activities carried out.

On Friday afternoons, children can invite their relatives to visit the museum and share with them all the knowledge acquired throughout the week.

The cost for registering each attendee for a period (one week) is 15 euros, and the activity is aimed at children between six and 14 years old.

A farewell party is planned in the gardens of the cultural center, which participants, family and friends may attend, will be on August 23.
