Planet Earth: an educational application to discover the world

Every time new ones come out educational applications so that the little ones learn while they entertain themselves. One of the most complete I've tried lately is Planet Earth, through which children can discover the world, its geography, its nature and the different cultures.

La Factoria d'Imatges has launched the application available for iPhone and iPad that has already managed to position itself in the top 5 in Spain and in the top 50 in more than 10 countries.

At home we have tried it. It is downloaded for free with some free activities, but if we want an improved version we have to resort to paid content. Through games such as memory, puzzles, finding an intruder animal or dressing characters, children approach the discovery of the planet.

It is available in eight languages and has videos of places around the world, as well as cultural videos from different countries or regional dances. In Spain you can see, for example, Sanfermines.

It is an entertaining way of starting them in the knowledge of the continents, countries, animals and cultural diversity of each region. Maybe it's for older children, my 8 year old daughter is very curious about the world and she has loved it.

It can be downloaded for free in the App Store, although then the ideal is to complete it with the paid content.
