Highlights in Babies and more: November 15-21

Today, like every Monday, we offer you a summary of highlights of the last week in Babies and more.

We have analyzed everyday situations that we have all experienced on occasion with our babies, for example what annoys babies who cry and demystify phrases made so that they later say that children do not help.

We also talked about the so-called slave grandfather syndrome, an increasingly frequent phenomenon suffered by the elderly who care for their grandchildren for several hours a day. A clear example is that of a grandfather who went to pick up his grandson at school but was wrong about school and as a child.

We also commented that many parents carry a purse and take the opportunity to ask them what they carry in their purses now that they have children.

On the health of the little ones, we wondered if ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is overdiagnosed, as there are many children diagnosed who do not suffer from it. Following with our series of posts on childhood obesity we have detailed the symptoms and consequences that it can present. For its part, we explain what psychomotor development is in infants and children.

Looking forward to the upcoming Christmas season, we have presented the 2010-2011 Toy Guide with the most suitable toys for each age, while we have listed the 10 most dangerous toys according to WATCH (World Against Toys Causing Harm), a worldwide organization that denounces toys that can harm children.

We have also talked about the Truby King method, the factory of unhappiness (I) and (II), a perverse parenting method that goes against the baby's emotional needs.

But we have talked about something more pleasant as preparing the arrival of the baby and the people who will help us.

Finally, on the occasion of International Children's Day we have posted a video about children's rights, we have taught how to make an emergency diaper with an old shirt, and how could not miss something beautiful for the little ones, we have shown you Colorful light sconces for the children's room.
