Highlights in Babies and more: from January 25 to 31

Like every Monday, today we make a review of the contents we have published in Babies and more over the past week.

We keep moving forward with the Baby Calendar talking about the growth of children. We have described in great detail everything related to the development, food, sleep, language and sociability of the two-year-old and the three-year-old child.

Given the proximity of Carnival we start with a Special Carnival where you can find original ideas of costumes, masks, celebrations and everything related to this fun celebration. We have shown you some beautiful baby costumes from Tom Arma, some animal masks to print and we also teach you to make a homemade spider costume for babies.

For its part, the weekly dose of Work and Pregnancy has focused on analyzing why companies do not want pregnant women, a sad but real situation in today's workplace.

We have laughed at ourselves parents who have been able to go to the toilet with the baby in arms and as a counterpart to the funny thing about the issue we have become serious to make a deep reflection on neomachismo and nurturing with attachment.

An urban legend of the 18th century has sneaked into our pages to learn about the unusual story of Mary Toft, the woman who bore 17 rabbits. A sample of the occultism that was then around pregnancy and childbirth.

For its part, we have asked ourselves why we are right-handed or left-handed and have shown the results of a photographic report of pregnancy that is undoubtedly a precious memory of unforgettable months.

We touched on a thorny issue within the so-called "defensive medicine", commenting that there is an increase in caesarean sections due to doctors' fear of possible complaints. It should not be, but some recognize that complications and claims of patients are "cut" (never better) because of their health.

Another reality we have touched is that of the delay of motherhood. In this regard we have posted part of "Time to be a mother", a documentary about the biological clock of motherhood.

Something that we put a lot of emphasis on the blog is about the emotional aspects of babies and that the bond between parents and children is key to self-esteem.

To finish with the highlights, as we usually do each month towards the end of the month, we publish the lunar calendar to know the time of delivery in February 2010.

This week, much more.
