Damira 2000 baby milk is withdrawn due to allergic reaction

A baby has suffered an allergic reaction after consuming the Sanutri Damira 2000 formula milk, so the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition has activated the national alert to withdraw the sale of this product It is sold exclusively in pharmacies by prescription.

This is the Damira 2000 product, 400g container, lot 18309698, and preferred consumption date before 10.28.2011. It is a milk specially formulated for children with allergies or with intolerance to cow's milk proteins.

However, in this batch two milk proteins, casein and lactoglobulin, were detected in significant amounts.

It is curious that precisely a product intended for babies with allergies has caused an allergic reaction, but the most worrying thing is that it has not been detected until there has been an affected child.

In any case, Sanutri has already blocked the product in the stores and has informed the outlets to withdraw milk from pharmacies.

Even so, if you have a boat of that lot at home, it is recommended not to give it to babies allergic to dairy proteins.
