It is about reconciling decoration, games, fun and security, for which we will have to take into account the following points:
- Dispense with decorations that end in a point. These endings (fences, slate marking the space of the flower beds ...) are very dangerous if a child stumbles and falls on top.
- If we have swingsWe will have to make sure that they comply with European safety regulations. That children do not use them without adult supervision, especially the youngest ones and that they learn to use them well so that they do not have accidents.
- Regarding plants, better to use those that are resistant and do not puncture. In this sense, better to dispense with roses or aloes for example and put grass or ferns, yes, provided that the weather or water resources allow it.
- As to the pool, if we choose mountable or inflatable it will be better for the little ones, adapted to their age. Always under the supervision of an adult, also for work pools, and of course, we should not forget these other precautions that we should take in the pool with children.
- All children like water games, and a fountain or a tap with or without hose in the garden can give you some fabulous moments in good weather. But better than the tap or fountain are in sight to control their use of water.
- An orchard for kids in the garden is a good idea. That they grow their own plants will help them learn and have fun. Planting tomatoes or aromatic plants is easy and will fill you with pride when they begin to produce their fruits.
- Wooden objects in the garden should be well sanded and varnished preferably. A very common accident is that a splinter is nailed and prevention is better.
