The holidays are approaching and we are already beginning to think what we can do with the children so that they are entertained. In a few days, starting July 12, the 2008 summer season of the Titirilandia Festival in Madrid, a puppet association with a very large schedule.
This edition is especially dedicated to puppeteers of the world. There will be no less than 85 functions in total presented by 11 international companies from Latin America (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Colombia), and Europe (Bulgaria, Italy, Switzerland and France) and 11 Spanish companies from different communities. The central theme of this year is water, which will be the protagonist throughout the program.
The opening of the festival will be on July 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Puppet Theater of El Retiro with the show “El Rap de Iru by the Uruguayan company Clan de Bichos. Then the functions will be free every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at 7.30pm and at 10pm until September 7th.
Also in La Casa Encendida (Auditorium of the center. Ronda de Valencia, 2) every Tuesday from July 8 until August 26 at 6:30 p.m. and at 8:00 p.m., within the "Words of water" meeting, there will be dedicated storytellers to the theme of water.
In addition, between July 16 and 20 at the Casa de Vacas the Bulgarian company Kalina Theater will stage its show “Rumpelstikin, the jumping dwarf”. It will be at 19.30 and the entrance will cost 6 euros.
