France wants to commit to curb overweight and childhood obesity

A few weeks ago we met an action of the French Ministry of Health that warned about the use of children's mobile phones, they want to take care of those who are the future of their country, and it seems that in different aspects, because today we know that they will work for fight against overweight and childhood obesity.

First of all they want suppress before April the television advertising of foods that favor weight problems during children's broadcastFor this they will convene a meeting next month with representatives of the agri-food industry, advertisers, consumers, experts, etc. Although for now they expect this withdrawal to be voluntary, as we read, it will be in May when they carry out an evaluation and if the purpose has not been fulfilled, they will propose legislative prohibition measures.

Other actions that they want to carry out are the withdrawal of sweets from the collection boxes of the supermarkets, where they place strategically striking and seductive sweet products, where many times we have to remain waiting for our turn seeing how our children are the eyes go The proposals to improve children's health do not end there, the Ministry of Agriculture says that it will take measures to promote the consumption of fruits and vegetables, they do not say how, but it seems that what is needed is to make it available to consumers, moderating the price and being part of the products offered by vending machines.

They will also create a Food Quality Observatory to track nutritional and socio-economic food.

All this has been discussed, it has been valued, it has been announced and it has been wanted to impose in different countries, but neither everything is fulfilled nor works as expected. Will our neighboring country teach us a new formula of true commitment and discipline?
