Getting fat after pregnancy can cause risks in future pregnancies

A study of Swedish scientists reveals that gaining weight after pregnancy can cause risks or complications in future pregnancies. To reach such a conclusion, the scientists studied 150,000 Swedish women from 1992 to 2001.

Experts calculated the increase in overweight women, this grew by 11% from 25% to 36%. Given this progressive trend, it is indicated that in 2010, at least two-thirds of women will weigh more than their share according to the weight-height ratio table.

The weight gain promotes the increased risk of diabetes or hypertension and this risk increases progressively with respect to the weight acquired.
