The irony of not allowing breastfeeding in front of an advertising poster in a bras store

Can you show your breasts to advertise, but to feed a baby is something reprehensible to cover? This is what Wittney Hale, a mother who was shopping in an underwear shop when her 18-month-old baby claimed that it was time for her to eat, has wondered.

While he was breastfeeding his baby, he was told that he could not "do that" there. Ironically, the woman was in front of a large bra advertising poster (It is being covered only to emphasize the irony). The woman's mother saw the scene and did not hesitate to take a picture of that absurd situation. The image says it all.

Wittney asked if he could feed his baby in the store. They said yes and looked for a secluded place to breastfeed. He discreetly lowered his shirt and the baby's head covered his chest (the cover used him for the photo). The same woman who had told him that he did come again to tell her that he couldn't "do that" in the store. He told him he should do it in the bathroom.

Despite arguing and asking to make a complaint, they reiterated that he should go to the bathroom, telling him what the path was. The store then apologized for the attitude of the saleswoman and pointed out that in her policy there is no prohibition on breastfeeding in public.

Why is it acceptable to show a large poster with two breasts to sell bras but not to feed a baby? We see breasts everywhere: advertising posters, social networks, on the beach or even walking on the street you can see necklines that teach the same thing that a breastfeeding mother can teach. It is time that once and for all a situation as normal as breastfeeding a baby is normalized.
