32 CAR SEATS FOR BABIES AND CHILDREN UNDER EXAMINATION, WHICH ONES ARE THE BEST?

Every year, the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) publishes a report on child restraint systems in which it analyzes the security against frontal and lateral impacts, as well as its ease of handling them, ergonomics, the content of dangerous substances, the cleaning and preparation of each product.

This year it has also done so and they have approved with a note. He has examined 32 car seats for babies and children and 84% get a "satisfactory" rating. Let's see which are the safest models, and which are not recommended according to the RACE.

This year highlights the good results obtained by the chairs approved with the i-Size standard, European approval for ISOFIX car seats, which represents an evolution in the safety of SRIs (child restraint systems).

Of the 32 products analyzed, 20 models received the rating of "satisfactory", six of "acceptable", and one, the Kiddy Evo-Luna i-Size chair, for children between 45 and 83 centimeters high, of "very satisfying".

On the other hand, five did not pass the tests as a whole, three of them with the worst rating "very unsatisfactory". These are the models Kiwy SF01 Q-Fix (up to 18 kilograms), KidsEmbrace Friendship (between 9 and 36 kilograms) and More Ziti-Fix 23 (between 16 and 36 kilograms).

But not all responsibility for children's safety lies in the qualification of chairs, but also in how they are used. Retention systems are used worse than we think, two out of three parents do not place them well, which shows great ignorance in relation to their correctness.
