'Life is not about chromosomes': great campaign on Down Syndrome. No difference.

The next day March 21 is celebrated on World Down Syndrome Day, that is why the Down Spain Association has launched a great campaign entitled 'Life is not about chromosomes' to show that there are no differences between children with and without disabilities.

Its protagonists are 10 mothers and 10 children and remember a campaign we talked about imperfect moms a while ago, about how we see ourselves as mothers and how our children see us.

First, women were asked to describe themselves as mothers. The funny thing is that they all found flaws in their work. They express that they should be stricter, or less, or spend more time with their children, or play more with them ...

Then the children, children with and without disabilities were asked, and all gave a positive assessment of their mothers, seeing only the good things. Sometimes we are too demanding of ourselves, we should have more confidence in our role as mothers, don't you think?

What the 'Life does not go on chromosomes' campaign It is to highlight the relationship that unites mothers and children, a relationship in which disability does not make any difference. For our children, we are the best mom in the world. And they, the best children in the universe.
